LADIES LEAGUE and LWML (Lutheran Women’s Missionary League)
Our Ladies League is part of the auxiliary branch of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod which is divided into districts and zones. St. Paul’s Ladies League is part of the Southern Illinois District and the Metro-South Zone. The main focus of the LWML is Mission, Ministry, and Mentoring.
St. Paul’s Ladies League meets at 11:30 a.m. the first Thursday of every month in the Fellowship Hall. All women of the church are invited to attend; if you have questions, call Wanda Gross 618-281-4691.
Since we meet during the lunch hours, we each bring our own lunch to enjoy. In addition, snacks and desserts are provided by rotating members. After lunch, our pastor, a member, or a guest speaker will lead us in a Bible study, topic, or a short activity prior to our business meeting. We host a potluck for our women and their guests in May and October and a Christmas party in December.
Some of our service projects include gathering Mites, donating to local missions, sewing and assembling Comforts of Love, and taking care of the church’s altar linens, altar flowers, and serving funeral lunches.
